THE FAMILY. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

Good-bye Baby Teeth

Last night Mia bit into an apple, and her front tooth became EXTREMELY loose. It was driving her crazy because she couldn't eat without feeling pain.  So her Dad decided it was time to get it out.  He tied some dental floss around the tooth.

She wiggled it for a good 10 minutes and was getting nowhere.

Her brothers just sat on the couch and watched the show.  They thought it was pretty funny.

Mia didn't think it was so funny anymore, and obviously we couldn't leave a string hanging out of mouth, so we told her it was time for the pliers. She was scared to death and it took her a little while (and a lot of Orajel) to work up the nerve to let her Dad pull it.
It didn't even hurt her.  The anticipation was the only painful part.
Good-bye Baby teeth.
