Witch Party

My Friends Missy and Geneva threw the most wonderful Witch party to celebrate Halloween with the girls.  Jenn took these amazing photos - since I didn't take my camera to the event.  It was a great time.

The invitation was so cool.  A beautiful bottle with this inside.

 I helped with some of the decorations.  There are tons of ideas on the internet.

Pumpkin Patch

Every year we head to the pumpkin patch.  This year we chose a teacher development day when the kids had no school, to take them to a pumpkin patch in St. George that we love.  The kids had a blast.  I love this time of year. 

For some reason I keep thinking I'll be able to get ONE picture of all four kids looking at the camera and smiling.  It never happens, but they're still adorable.

 Ella was such a good sport.  We dragged her around every where and she was an angel.

Poor Luke had to change his pants halfway through, because he was a little afraid of the port-a-potties, not to mention his Dad put a belt on him and he had no idea how to figure that one out.  Drew realized his mistake about 2 hours after we left.  Oh well.  Luckily we had some extra shorts.  He's done a great job with potty training.

 The kids love the cow train.  And it's wonderful that they get to enjoy it with their best friends.

 Cole was in heaven at the sling shot center.  I love how his veins are bulging from his neck.  Such dedication.

Movie Under The Stars!

A couple of weeks ago, several of my friends had husbands out of town for the weekend or deployed, so we were trying to think of something fun to do while they were away.  My friend Geneva has a movie projector and screen, and I've always wanted to have a movie night outside, so we joined forces and had it at my house.   This time of year the weather is perfect when the sun goes down, and we don't have mosquitoes.  It couldn't be a better set up.  We hung the screen from our balcony with rope.  

Everyone brought treats to share.  The kids got their own popcorn and treat bags, not to mention glow bracelets, soda (in a cup with a lid and straw - just like the movies), and even cotton candy.

Geneva made these delicious and super cute Oreo truffles.  One plate stayed outside with the kids, and one plate, inside with the Moms.   They're my favorite!

Jenn Allred's mother-in-law made cotton candy for all the kids.  It was a huge hit!

The movie started at 7:30 sharp!  The sun goes down early here.  All the kids cuddled together and watched the new Tinkerbell movie that had just come out to DVD.

We had a great time.  I would love to have this equipment some day.  Makes for good memories.  Thanks Geneva for making this night such a huge success, and thanks Jenn for taking most of these photos.  It's hard to play host and photographer at the same time.

Wake Boarding.... or at least trying to

Our dear friends invited us to go boating on Sept 18th.  It was a beautiful day and not too hot, so we jumped on the chance.  We didn't get on the lake until about 4:00pm, so a lot of people had already left and we enjoyed the deserted lake until the sun went down.  

 Aubrey is awesome at Wake Boarding.  She makes it look easy. How hard can it be if an 8 year old can do it, right?

 Well, I will tell you.... HARD!  Good thing Drew didn't take photos of my many failed attempts.  Maybe next time.

Cole did a great job waterskiing.  He'll be a pro soon.  I was so proud of him for being so courageous.

 Mia was much more nervous than Cole, but she did a wonderful job, and tried her best to be brave.  I was proud of her.

Luke just loved playing on the boat with his buddy Brock.

 And our biggest mistake of the night was not letting Sam show his stuff when the sun was still high in the sky.  We could have gotten some awesome pics of his wake boarding tricks, but the light was so low, I couldn't get a good crisp shot.  Sam, you'll just have to invite us again so I can get better photos. ;)

It was so much fun.  We love our friends. 

End of Summer Fun

Summer has come to an end.  Well,... almost.  School has been in session for over a month, but the temperature is still sitting in the triple digits.  So we're enjoying the heat before it's gone.
