Mia's Baptism

Mia turned 8 last month, so naturally it was time for her to be baptized.  This was a big decision.  She felt ready, so we were ready.  

Here is the invitation we gave to family and friends. 

I decided to do Mia's hair in a way that wouldn't require much work after she came out of the water.  We did two twists back to a bun.  Isn't she beautiful?

Mia was thrilled that so many of her friends came to share in her special day.

Her adorable friend Conner was also baptized that day.  He was pretty reluctant to pose in a photo with all those cute girls, but he was a good sport.

This is the cool climbing tree outside of the church building.  Every Sunday after church, there are about 10 kids hanging from it's branches.

We were so happy that Drew's parents could attend the baptism.  Mia felt so much love and support.  It was awesome.  

Afterwards, Grandma and Grandpa took us out to dinner to celebrate.  What a wonderful night.
